We have immediate opening for Research Interns (August 2025 start, 8-12 months). This position is available in Calgary, AB.
How we plan on keeping you busy:
- Key contributor to a team responsible for developing, improving, and qualifying analytical methods.
- Execute routine testing with established methods.
- Accurately collect and enter data into databases.
- Support the preparation of lab reports and other documentation.
- Perform periodic calibration or maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Perform other related duties as required by the reporting scientist.
What will help you get here:
- Must be enrolled as a post-secondary student during the work term
- Eligible for BioTalent Canada WIL funding.
- Familiar with standard analytical lab practices and techniques.
- Strong background and interest in molecular biology, biochemistry and chemistry.
- Strong computer skills: Knowledge of data analysis techniques and software is a strong asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
