Ontario Hiring Requirements by Subsector, 2021-2029

In agri-bio, 2,300 workers will need to be hired by 2029, with nearly half of the hires driven by expansion demand until 2023. Key roles to be hired include: manufacturing and production (33%); research and development (20%); management, finance and administration (18%).  In bio-energy, 600 workers will need to be hired by 2029, driven virtually all by replacement demand. Key roles to be hired include: research and development (34%); manufacturing and production (27%); management, finance and administration (18%).
