OTTAWA, November 14, 2016 – BioTalent Canada will be featured on The Documentary Channel beginning November 14, 2016, Monday through Friday, throughout the day and evenings as part of CEO Clips, a series which profiles the most innovative publicly traded companies in North America.
BioTalent Canada is a national non-profit organization which ensures that Canada’s bio-economy has access to the skilled people it needs.
In the clip, Rob Henderson, President and CEO of BioTalent Canada, explains the uniqueness of BioTalent Canada as an organization, “We are right at the centre connecting job seekers with biotech companies, along with federal government,” he said. “I think it is absolutely fantastic being able to get young people into jobs, newcomers, women, people with disabilities, that’s what we do here everyday.”
BioTalent Canada’s footprint has expanded within the bio-economy, building one of Canada’s largest biotech networks: over 37 companies and associations, and injecting over $3 million in wage subsidy capital into the sector. BioTalent Canada’s initiatives to grow Canada’s biotech workforce were lauded in the 2016 edition of Scientific American Worldview. Through its multiple programs like wage subsidies for recent graduates and persons with disabilities, BioTalent Canada is looking to place over 300 individuals into bio-economy jobs.
Companies interested in applying for wage subsidies are encouraged to visit biotalent.ca/wage-subsidies.
