For the bio-health sub-sector, 30% of employees work in research and development; 13% in manufacturing; 13% in management, finance and administration; 5% in distribution; 5% in quality control and quality assurance; 5% in marketing, business development, sales and communications; 4% in information technology; 2% in legal and regulatory affairs; and 23% in “other” job categories.  For the bio-industrial sub-sector, 38% of employees work in manufacturing; 19% in research and development; 13% in management, finance and administration; 6% in distribution; 5% in quality control and quality assurance; 4% in marketing, business development, sales and communications; 2% in information technology; 1% in legal and regulatory affairs; and 13% in “other” job categories.
